I love that you can walk into our shop and feel the newness of knowledge and the respect of history of all different types of Quilters and Artists! Yes, we are no longer just "quilters", the younger generation has brought a new fresh look at the world of quilting, giving it more of a "art" look coupled with traditional quilting. It is the traditional and the new that makes quilting so exciting in this new era!
Recently Deanne, our Quilt Shop owner hired two young college students. I have to admit I was a little jealous interviewing them knowing that one a senior and the other a junior at Texas State has the whole world in front of them. A whole changing world in the quilt industry. In our next post, you will meet Sam and Edward, two young college students with gleam in their eyes and an ambition to learn from our traditional view of quilting while adding their own flare to our quilting world.
